OUR STORY

Two brothers. A lifetime of disasters. One system that didn't exist.

GROWING UP READY

Ryan Donnelly. Brett Donnelly.

Waypoint Ready was founded by two brothers — Ryan Donnelly, based in Detroit, and Brett Donnelly, based in Santa Monica, California. Both spent their childhoods split between Florida and the Midwest, which meant disasters were never abstract.

Over the years, hurricanes and flooding took several of the family's homes in Florida — not once, but again and again. Rebuilding, restocking, and starting over was just part of life.

THE PALISADES FIRE

Then it happened again, closer to home.

Brett now lives in California. When the January 2025 Palisades Fire tore through the community, several close friends lost their homes.

None of them had a real system in place — no organized kit, no plan, nothing built to actually hold up when it mattered. It was a moment of clarity: even people who cared about being prepared had no real way to do it.

THE MOMENT OF CLARITY

Nothing on the market solves whole-home readiness.

Between the brothers' own family history and watching friends go through it firsthand, the same problem kept surfacing. Emergency supplies exist, but they're scattered, mismatched, and forgotten in a closet until it's too late.

Waypoint Ready is the system we wished our own families always had — modular, organized, and built around the seven things a household actually needs when critical systems fail.
